High Country Healing Arts is a multi-faceted small business founded by Jes Saunders (Henna Jes) operating out of Golden, Colorado which specializes in artisan pyrography, mandala work and henna/mehndi design.

 

Jes has been a henna artist for 18 years and uses the henna-style floral designs as inspiration for wood and leather pyrography (burn art).  Our gallery showcases her wood and leather creations which may be purchased from the Etsy shop, HighCountryBurn.

 

Alongside traditional mehndi designs, Jes is one of the only artists in Colorado who offers unique henna glitter guilding.  This type of body art is rare and works perfectly for festival goers and performers as it showcases the beauty and intricasy of traditional henna artwork without the commitment of the paste drying time and stain.  The glitter guilding pieces are sweat proof, dance proof and are movement-ready in under 20 minutes!
